LOCATION

The region known as the Alpujarra lies to the south of the Sierra Nevada mountains in Granada, southern Spain. Famous for its skiing, walking and outdoor pursuits the region offers a rich variety of fauna and flora, along with a rich cultural heritage.

The scenery is breathtaking and can be enjoyed all year round. The peaks can be covered in snow, even in summer, and in the depths of winter the sun provides warmth whilst sitting on a terrace at one of the many cafes or restaurants in the region.

The interest in recent years in the region known as Extremadura, has been for the spacious cortijo or farm with lots of land.

In Rioja and the southern part of the Pyrenees there are numerous traditionally built houses in need of renovation.
Asturias in the north of Spain is famous for its cider, beaches, mountains and rolling counrtyside. The north coast including Galicia forms what is known as the Costa Verde which is backed by mountains from Galicia in the west to the French Border.
